This is for new ElasticSearch user.<\/p>\n

If you have installed elastic search and unable to install plugins, here are the easy steps.<\/p>\n

1. Type this command<\/p>\n

$ curl \"localhost:9200\/_nodes\/settings?pretty=true\"\r\n<\/pre>\n
\"elasticsearch-plugin\"<\/p>\n
Locate your home directory ( Look for Settings -> Path -> Home for value )
\n2. Go to Location (Example on the picture above)<\/p>\n
 cd \/opt\/kibana\/esvm\/dev\/branch-2.3\" \r\n\r\nInstall Plugin (Example plugin: mobz\/elasticsearch-head)\r\n\r\n sudo bin\/plugin install mobz\/elasticsearch-head\r\n\r\nIf you are using old elasticSearch use \"-install\" instead of just install\r\n\r\nI have ES 2.1.0 and the command is : sudo bin\/plugin install mobz\/elasticsearch-head  for me\r\n<\/pre>\n
How to test –<\/p>\n
Open this URL<\/p>\n
http:\/\/localhost:9200\/_plugin\/head\/<\/p>\n
If you see this, your plugin is working.

similarly, you can install other plugins –<\/p>\n
